Excellent BBQ sauce.
Not sure if they make it onsite, but I couldn't quite put my finger on it. That tells me that they make it themselves.
It was savory and tangy, not too sweet but it definitely had a little brown sugar in it.
The brisket was melt in your mouth awesome.
The place was a bit understaffed, but forgivable because of the quality of everything else.
They were very nice at least, even if they were super busy.
On a busy Saturday on a sunny day in Big Bear, this place had a spot to sit right down immediately when everywhere else had a 45 minute wait.
I will be back next time I'm in Big Bear. -

I was so disappointed with our meal. We ordered the piggy slab of smoke ribs. Very dry and too chewy. Side dishes were double baked potato, it was cold. Cole slaw was decent; but Popeyes coleslaw is better if that says anything. French fries were old and a bit stale, potato salad was blah, side green salad, was just lettuce and slides cucumber... it was more like kale salad not lettuce. Chicken sandwich was not the greatest either; chicken was dry and bland, def. Not worth the price. Our bill was over $100. 1 order of rib (slab) dinner came with 2 sides (cole slaw & double baked potato;1 chicken sandwich with 2 sides (French fries & potato salad); 1 side green salad, 3 beers.
Definitely will never come back again. The food is just not worth the pricing. And I think I would have been better if with Jack in the Box chicken sandwich.
Service was good though very friendly staff. -

Got the brisket and pork ribs with 2 sides (fries and potato salad). Also came with garlic cheese bread. The brisket was very moist and tender. Ribs were tender too, but nothing to rave about. Fries were crispy and hot. Potato salad was potato salad. Nothing extraordinary.
Our waitress was seemed to be very rushed. The restaurant seemed full and they seemed short staffed. Nothing spectacular about the service.
Overall, not bad. I want to try other BBQ places when I am at Big Bear. -

Jaspers smokehouse was an excellent choice to eat. Big portions of food that get you nice and full. The food was excellent! Everyone in our party enjoyed their food. Customer service was perfect. Highly recommend giving them a try!

The best barbecue in Big Bear! I love their Pulled Pork & Brisket, but their Ribs, Steaks and Chicken are also first rate. Jasper's has Twice Baked Potatoes with Cheese & Bacon in them - need I say more? Corn Muffins, Hush Puppies, Fresh Corn on the Cob and an unusually fine selection of Homemade Desserts make Jasper's Smokehouse a definite stop every time I'm in Big Bear. I make everyone get a dessert so I can sample the Chocolate Bliss Cake with Warm Raspberry Sauce, Red Velvet Cake & Dad's Graham Cream Pie! Fast, Friendly Service. The wait line goes really fast. I enjoy dining on the patio when the weather is warm enough. Kick-back and have great Barbecue and a Beer from their diverse selection.
